Meyers Wins for East Grinstead

East Grinstead delivered some excellent scores as around 40 shooters from the South East made the best of unusually calm weather over the weekend at the East Grinstead Target Shooting Club's Autumn Shoot.  The top score of 591 ex 600 was posted by Andy Meyers of East Grinstead, winning Class A and also the Open Pairs competition with Malcolm Brain of East Grinstead.  Second place in Class A went to Russell French of Chichester in a tie on 588 points with Malcolm Brain, but gaining the advantage on count-back.  Malcolm Brain won the Veterans Handicap.  Mike Kettle of East Grinstead won Class B just one point ahead of Graham Fell.  Elaine Kettle took second place in Class D with Graham Stevenson also of East Grinstead taking third place.  Other winners were Ian Strotten of Aldingbourne who took first place in Class C, and Mike Cox of St Nicholas who won Class D.  Linda Smallbone of Eastbourne won the Ladies Handicap with a score of 587.
